Should a good moisturizer contain sunscreen?

Due to rising number of skin cancer cases, dermatologists recommend using face creams with sunscreen.

They also recommend using high sun protection factor, known as SPF 50.

However, although there are every day more face creams with sunscreen, most moisturizers or anti-aging creams on the market do not contain sun protection, or have a low or medium protection factor, such as SPF 30.

Why most moisturizers do not contain sunscreen?

If you want your face cream to have a natural sun filter (without certain controversial chemical agents), and in addition you want it to have a high SPF (50 or so), that is, if you want an organic moisturizer with sunscreen SPF 50, then the options are reduced.

And again, you may wonder why there are so few moisturizers with sun protection?

The reason is very simple. Making an organic certified moisturizer (not just with one or the other natural ingredient), and ensuring that it has contained an SPF 50 sunscreen, the result will always-always-always be an excessively oily cream, not to mention say extremely fat.

And besides, if SPF 50 is truly natural, then that face cream will always-always-always leave a greasy white layer on your skin, which is not very attractive.

It's that easy, truly natural and organic moisturizers with SPF 50, as they contain only physical filters (not chemical ones), become very thick creams and absolutely all of them leave an unattractive white layer on your face.

If you have purchased a moisturizer with SPF 50 and it does not leave a white layer, it can only be for two reasons:

1. The type of sunscreen filter it uses is a chemical one, and therefore, it is not a natural filter, which from our point of view is not desirable.

2. In the event that the sunscreen you use is truly natural, and it does not leave a white trace, then it contains a nano-particle filter, which it also not desirable. But we will tackle this topic in another article.

Surely you are thinking that you know "natural" or pseudo-natural moisturizers with SPF 50 that do not leave your face white.

We do not want to use this type of chemical agents, since it goes against our philosophy to use certain chemical ingredients that are very controversial, both for our health and for the environment.
