a. You'll be mixing all the accumulated pollution and dirt on your skin with the moisturizer, thus reintroducing that unwanted dirt and pollution back into your skin .
b. Your body continually eliminates toxins through perspiration. If you don't wash your face before applying your face cream, you'll be reintroducing those toxins into your body.

You brush your teeth at least twice a day, right?
Apply this same oral hygiene routine to your facial hygiene: you should wash your face twice a day, every morning and every night.

Always use a SULFATE-FREE facial cleanser.
Sulfates are the ingredient that acts as a detergent. They're used in dishwashers, floor cleaners, etc. You can imagine how harsh they can be on your face.
You can identify if your facial cleanser contains sulfates by looking at the label where the list of ingredients appears.
Sulfates are designated as "Sodium Laureth Sulfate" or "Sodium Lauryl Sulfate." They may also sometimes appear by the initials SLS or SLES.
Although it may seem incredible, there are many products on the market that use these types of ingredients. They use them because they're very affordable, but they can be too harsh for your skin.

If you moisten your skin first, do it with warm water, as this will open your pores and allow for a deeper cleanse.
Finish rinsing with cold water to close the pores again.
Commandment 9
Always dry your skin without rubbing with a soft towel. The skin on your face is five times thinner than the skin on your body, and rubbing it with a towel twice a day can contribute to unbalancing it.
Commandment 10
Should I wash my face in the shower? You can wash your face in the shower, but we recommend using a specific facial cleanser and not a conventional shower gel, as conventional shower gels can be too harsh on your skin.
In any case, as we mentioned in Commandment 3, one way to ensure you don't forget your facial cleansing routine is to associate your oral hygiene with your facial hygiene.
You can easily achieve this by keeping your facial cleanser next to your toothbrush. This way, every time you brush your teeth (morning and night), you'll also remember to clean your face with your facial cleanser.
Characteristics of a good facial cleanser for men
- It should not contain sulfates
- It should have the same pH value as your face: 5.5
- It should be a liquid soap, preferably in a cleansing cream texture, so that it is more respectful.
- You should clean it thoroughly, since men have more open pores.
- It should be skin-protecting, since, as men have more combination and oily skin than women, we tend to wash our faces more. Ingredients like aloe vera and calendula are ideal.
